Monuments and Museums in Var

The landscapes and beaches are not the only tourist attractions on the French Riviera, and many museums open their doors along the Var coast or in the Maures Massif.

The Museum of Cultures and Landscape in Hyères is housed in the former Bank of France building. Here, you can explore the history of the city of Hyères through numerous works of art and a magnificent landscaped garden.

The Cap Garonne Mine Museum in Le Pradet presents a collection of rare minerals through an underground journey designed within a former mine.

You can also discover the Fort of Brégançon, an old fortress that has become the official vacation residence for Presidents of the French Republic, just a few kilometers from La Londe-les-Maures.
