In Cadenet, as everywhere in the Vaucluse department, the local cuisine is a tourist attraction in its own right. For example, you can visit Bastide du Laval in Cadenet, which offers wines and olive oil produced on site. A market is held every Monday in Cadenet, and a farmers’ market is held every Saturday between April and November.

Discovering the Luberon

The Luberon Regional Natural Park is defined by its remarkable natural areas. Between fields, vineyards and wooded areas, valleys and mountains, the Park offers visitors a mosaic of landscapes. During your hikes, you will be able to observe more than 270 species of vertebrates. Ornithology enthusiasts can spot the Jean-le-Blanc circaet, Bonelli’s eagle or the Egyptian vulture. The Luberon can also be explored by bike.

From Cadenet, take the paths and roads of the Park, to discover the landscapes and terroirs that characterize it. The Luberon is also known for its picturesque villages, which you can easily visit around Cadenet.

Historical heritage around Cadenet

Partly troglodyte, the Cadenet castle is well worth a visit. This magnificent building was destroyed by Louis XIV and burnt down during the Revolution. But there are still some very fine ruins, and a fine view of the surrounding area awaits you.

The Lourmarin castle, with its Renaissance architecture, attracts many visitors. You can also take the opportunity to visit Lourmarin, one of the most beautiful villages in France.

Silvacane Abbey is also just a few kilometres from Cadenet. This medieval Cistercian abbey is a jewel of Romanesque architecture.
