Specializing in artisanal and regional products, I select all the products myself, with quality as my primary criterion.
Our local producers and artisans have a wealth of know-how and work their products with passion.
They're the ones who take pride of place in my store, because good regional recipes are often handed down from generation to generation, and need to be perpetuated and made known.
At Basilic et Calisson, you'll find the flagship products of Provence, of course, but also a yearly selection of new products gleaned from regional trade shows, and always in the short circuit, most often direct from the producer.
Gibassiers, navettes, croquants with whole almonds, tapenades, pieds et paquets and soupe au pistou, for example, are all made here in Fontaine de Vaucluse by our master craftsman.
It's the terroir, the quality, the history of the artisan and his product that interest me, and only that; because when you travel, it's this authenticity that you're looking for and that I want you to discover.
