Images are impactful in the tourism sector. They spark the imagination and play a major role in traveller decision-making. With the development of digital communication tools and intuitive mobile apps, images now feature prominently in the Regional Tourist Board’s strategy.
As part of its communication strategy, the Regional Tourist Board hires professional photographers and extras to create photo stories and illustrate our various communication media. We also purchase and renew rights as necessary. The various films shot on location are coupled with photo stories illustrating key themes. In addition to its own productions, the Regional Tourist Board calls on its partners and, from time to time, image banks, to cover its wide-reaching needs.
The Regional Tourist Board also has its own collection of rushes to create stock shots. The rushes from previous films shot on the most beautiful sites of the region, are used to create “à la carte” videos highlighting our 3 destinations – “Provence, Enjoy the Unexpected”, “Alpes French South” and “Côte d’Azur France” –, together with Regional Tourist Board’s priority sectors such as cycling and golfing. The role of the video in the Regional Tourist Board’s global content strategy is set to expand in coming months, in response to digital prowess and web user expectations.
The Ajaris media library
The need for a high-performance and intuitive storage and search tool to facilitate access to media resources has become a major focus. The Regional Tourist Board has chosen to use the Ajaris platform for its media archives and searches (photos, films, brand elements, publications, etc.). The platform’s high-level, reactive functions enable fast response times, making it an ideal resource for responding to numerous partner media requirements.
