Who are we?

Formed by the Area Council (Conseil Régional), the Regional Tourist Board (Comité Régional de Tourisme) is a non-profit organisation whose main aim is to develop and promote tourism in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region, in accordance with the French tourism code. To achieve this goal, it pursues 3 main missions.

Develop the tourist industry

To stimulate regional tourism and economic spinoffs, the Regional Tourist Board continuously promotes its 3 destinations “Alpes French South”, “Provence, Enjoy the Unexpected” and “Côte d’Azur France” to priority market sectors in France and overseas through various campaigns targeting the general public, travel operators (travel agents and tour operators), the media and influencers. It continually strengthens its relationship with these main targets through bespoke communication channels.

Unite and accompany

Cooperation forms the beating heart of the Regional Tourist Board strategy through the implementation of shared brands, an annual joint action plan established with its partners, pooled tourism studies and awareness days for travel professionals. The Regional Tourist Board doesn’t just promote the region’s 3 main destinations; it also assists tourism stakeholders in understanding tourism-related stakes and adopting good professional practises.

Provide flawless management

The efficiency of the Regional Tourist Board’s strategy and yearly action plans relies on flawless management. This implies stringent accounting management, together with a reduction in the administrative tasks of operational teams thanks to the recent dematerialization of managerial tools. Last but not least, systems for assessing the various actions undertaken have also been set up to allow us to adjust our action plan from year to year.
