Description
Avant d'apparaître brings together a series of laser-engraved drawings, in which fragments of images - memories, past works, mental forms - are replayed and recomposed within the same space.
Presented in drawn frames, these elements cohabit, overlap and sometimes blur, forming a kind of unstable archive. The burnt line alters the surface of the paper, producing zones of density and erasure that disrupt reading. Between the precision of the drawing and the accidents of the material, the images enter into tension.
Anchored in a childhood territory, the project does not propose a direct representation, but explores its effects: gaze, distancing, self-construction. The viewer is invited to move through this fragmented whole, to recompose, and to experience what, in every image, remains waiting to appear.
