Explore the landscapes of the Côte Bleue, nestled between coves, valleys, and breathtaking views of Marseille's harbor. This outdoor excursion is the perfect opportunity to learn or refine your watercolor and plein air sketching skills.
As we hike, we'll pass by inspiring locations such as the Calanque des Eaux Salées and the Notre-Dame du Rouet Chapel. Our guide, Laura, will provide background information on the heritage and flora that bring these landscapes to life, enriching your perspective before you begin painting. During the hike, we'll take one or more breaks to paint. Laura will guide you step-by-step through the fundamentals of watercolor technique, culminating in a final artwork that you can take home. Whether you're a beginner or an intermediate artist, this experience is tailored to your level – you'll be surprised by what you can achieve.
All materials are provided; all you need to bring is your curiosity.
Duration: Approximately 2.5 hours of walking + 2 hours of watercolor workshop
Please bring 2 liters of water for drinking and painting, as well as a towel, cushion, etc., to sit on the ground.
The hike is on rocky terrain; please wear hiking boots or good athletic shoes.
Difficulty: Moderate, suitable for people in good physical condition. Anyone wearing unsuitable footwear or unable to complete the hike may be refused entry.
