Description
To mark European Heritage Days, set off to explore the Redouron Canal. Take a stroll along its course to gain a better understanding of the history of the waterways that have shaped the town of Pierrefeu-du-Var.
As part of European Heritage Days:
Saturday from 9.00 am: Guided tour ‘Between Land and Water’ to explore the natural heritage of Pierrefeu-du-Var. The tour sets off from outside the Tourist Office, organised by the “Petra Foco” and “Leï Roudaïre” associations. Duration of the walk: approximately 3 hours
The Henri Guérin Hospital will be open to visitors on this occasion only, allowing them to follow the course of the Redouron Canal, visit the Chapel of St Francis of Assisi and explore the hospital’s olive grove, which features 153 olive trees representing the 153 municipalities of the Var.
Other events are being organised as part of the European Heritage Days, such as a visit to the Sainte-Croix Chapel, the Maison des Cultures, and an exhibition of Provençal art and traditions, as well as a photography exhibition
