Description
On 9 and 10 of August, take part in 2 days of festivities to immerse yourself in Antiquity through comics!
Two-day of festivities where people of all ages can meet authors of comic books with a link to antiquity, get beautiful autographs on any comic book baught, watch historical reenactment groups in action, take up at ancient board games, and participate in educational workshops.

- Sunday, August 9
10 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. and 2 p.m. – 5 p.m. at the Plateau des Antiques in Glanum (free admission)
- Monday, August 10
10 a.m. – 1 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. at the Glanum archaeological site
All as part of the “off-site” opening of the “Arelate, Roman Days of Arles” festival.

Caneschi Theo (Murena, Cycle 4, and creator of the poster illustration), Louise Doumeng (“J’étais pourtant déterminée”), Fiammetta Ghedini (“Une insatiable envie de douceur – Enquête sur le sucre”), Laura Lion (“Ulysse et les bolosses”), Régis Penet (“Le Procès d’un immortel”)—present only on Sunday—Laurent Sieurac (Arelate, Valerius Proculus, and Aqueduct (of the Pont du Gard)), and Marie Voyelle (Athena).

- “The Library Beyond the Walls”
The Joseph-Roumanille Municipal Library will venture beyond its walls to set up shop on the Plateau des Antiques, offering a wide selection of reading material on antiquity, as well as all kinds of games
- Ongoing activities with the LEG VI Ferrata association: “Little Legionnaires” workshop (marching in step and shield handling, combat stance under a legionnaire’s command), Schola workshop (writing on wax tablets and board games: hopscotch, delta, jacks, dice games), Roman Playmobil camp, archery workshop, 2 wooden pull-along horses for toddlers.
- Arelate Workshops:
Domus: Come discover a 1st-century domus (townhouse) through an educational model: learn about the functions of the different rooms, arrange furniture and objects, and enjoy games and fun activities.
Ages 8 and up—maximum 10 people at a time
Hairstyling: Come get your hair styled in the Roman style by Roman women!
All ages - Ongoing - Duration: 15 to 25 min per hairstyle
Weaving: On a mini loom or with a comb, come learn weaving techniques (tesserae weaving or comb weaving).
Ages 8 and up - Limited spaces - Duration: 1 hour

- Book signings in the visitor center (for any comic book purchased on site). Free admission.
- “The Library Beyond the Walls” (same as Sunday). Free admission.
- 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.: Workshop “Collective Mural of the Odyssey of Ulysses” led by Laura Lion (author of *Ulysses and the Bolosses*). After an introduction to the profession of author and illustrator and a summary of the key stages of the Odyssey, the children will work together to illustrate the mythological adventures of Odysseus (the Trojan War, the Sirens, Calypso, and many others). - 10:30 a.m.: Guided tour of the Glanum archaeological site. Included with the site admission ticket – Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes / Limited to 30 people.
