Description
This lecture is led by Jean-Marc Ginoux.
It is dedicated to analyzing the various inventions depicted in Jules Verne’s numerous novels and placing them in the historical and scientific context of the time in which they were published. In light of this analysis, it will be possible to answer the following question: Was Jules Verne a visionary or a precursor of science like his illustrious predecessor Leonardo da Vinci, or did he simply extrapolate future developments and applications from existing inventions?
