The inhabitants of Saorge, Pigna and Rocchetta Nervina (Liguria, Italy, Italian side east of Saorge) get together every year at the Col de Muratone: aperitif and fraternal meal (local produce, pasta, wine, dessert) offered by the three municipalities.

Registration required at the three town halls. The Castou trail and parking are exceptionally authorized for this hike, starting at marker 167 towards the Madonina and its 47 switchbacks, then the Col de Muraton and its refuge on the Italian side. See topo for cross-border hike from Saorge to Pigna (approx. 5h round trip). Possible access by road from Pigna in Italy towards Gouta, up to the Col de Muratone, a 3-hour drive from Saorge.
