Description
"Danse sous les Étoiles" brings together classical ballet and contemporary dance in an evening where the seasons, human relationships and the breath of life take shape at the Théâtre Antique d'Arles.
Solstice: this ballet tells the story of the seasons through dance. Each period of the year - spring, summer, autumn and winter - is expressed through different movements and emotions. The music and choreography show how time transforms us, with poetry and intensity.
Choreographers: Norton Fantinel and Karina Moreira - Music: Rachmaninov, Vivaldi, Mozart, Tchaikovsky - Costumes: Theama For Dance - Lighting: Salvatore Scollo
Bound: this piece is about love and the bond between two people. It shows both the strength and fragility of a relationship, between closeness and distance. The dance expresses the deep feelings, memories and emotions that unite two people.Choreographer: Julien Guérin
Music: Mercy by Max Richter - Piano accompaniment: José Arrué - Violin: Nathalie Costecalde - Costumes: Theama For Dance
Six Breaths : Six Breaths is inspired by breathing, essential to life and dance. From the first to the last breath, the dancers recount the key moments of existence: pain, love, sharing and intimacy. A sensitive and universal work.
Choreographers: Ricardo Fernando & Carla Silva - Music: Ezio Bosso - Costumes: Theama For Danse - Lighting: Salvatore Scollo
JIT (Just In Time): this choreography questions our place in a highly mechanized, performance-oriented world. The dancers imitate repetitive, mechanical gestures, until two people break free to leave room for emotion and human relationships. A contemporary piece, both rhythmic and poetic.
Choreography and design: Kinsun Chan - Assistant choreographer: Juliette Rahon - Music: Michael Nyman and Josh Ralph - Costumes: Théama For Danse / designed by Kinsun Chan - Lighting: Salvatore Scollo and Kinsun Chan
