Description
David Fray immerses himself in the joys of transcription and shares with us his delight in bringing the infinitely vast to life within the relatively small.
David Fray, piano
Without the modest and generous art of transcription, certain works of music intended for universal appeal would have remained the jealously guarded treasure of a handful of connoisseurs. By reducing an opera aria, a church choir, or a symphony to the keyboard alone, by adapting an organ prelude or a harpsichord piece for the home piano, the golden apples of the Garden of the Hesperides are now available to everyone.
Marseille is delighted to welcome this eternal young man who has won over a loyal and appreciative audience.
