Description

A cultural rendezvous and popular success since 2006, Design Parade aims to share contemporary creation in the field of design through a competition, professional meetings and exhibitions.
Created in 2006 with Andrée Putman as patron, Design Parade's original ambition was to promote contemporary creation in the field of object design through a competition, professional meetings and exhibitions. Ten years later, in 2016, a second section was created on the same principle, dedicated to interior architecture, with Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec as patrons. It was the first festival of its kind in France. In 2026, the event celebrates a double anniversary: 20 years of Design Parade - object and 10 years of Design Parade - interior architecture. To mark the occasion, the exhibition "20+10: Génération(s) Design Parade" offers a unique look at the designers who have contributed to the festival's history, through a carte blanche entrusted to curator David Giroire. Exceptionally for this anniversary edition, the entire Villa Noailles will be hosting the competitions and opening its doors wide. Design Parade honors three influential designers by entrusting them with the presidency of the juries: Sofia Lagerkvidt and Anna Lindgren of Frontdesign studio for objects, and Laura Gonzalez for interior architecture. Several prizes are awarded to candidates competing in the two competitions, thanks to endowments from the festival's partners, who join forces with the festival to support them over the long term: Sèvres - Manufacture et Musée nationaux, the Centre international de recherche sur le verre et les arts plastiques (Cirva) for the object category, Van Cleef & Arpels, le19M, CHANEL and Manufactures nationales - Mobilier national for the interior architecture category. Practical assistance is provided as soon as finalists are selected, and then over a two-year period, covering a wide range of areas: financing, production, craftsmanship, materials, publishing, legal, exhibition, workshop and residency. Following the competitions, exhibitions showcase the work of the 2026 finalists, as well as that of some of the 2025 winners and presidents of the year's jury.
