A performance driven by the spoken word, in which the sea becomes memory, a passage, and a mirror, and in which the land—that of the villages and their inhabitants—anchors each story in reality.
On one side, Quebec and the Gulf of St. Lawrence, with its winds, its islands, its villages gazing toward the horizon, and its stories passed down by the people of the region. On the other, France and the Mediterranean, an ancient cradle, steeped in memories and journeys, where the land and the voices still bear the traces of time. Between the two: the Atlantic, a vast, living link that unites more than it divides. Here and elsewhere, it is first and foremost an encounter. For if one comes from here, the other must necessarily come from elsewhere. Deep down, a stranger is perhaps simply a friend we haven’t yet met. On stage, Cédric Landry and Éric Frerejacques weave a sensitive dialogue between their homelands, their voices, and their imaginations. Stories flow like water, crossing seas and lands, passing from village to village, from heart to heart, changing form but retaining the same heartbeat. A human and poetic journey, where “here” and “elsewhere” ultimately come together.
