Description
As part of the "Le Var fête la Nature" event, come and discover the educational garden at the Espace Naturel Sensible de la Brûlade in La Londe les Maures during an open afternoon.
During an open afternoon, the environment department team, comprising Nelly, the educational gardener, Rémy and Thomas, will be on hand to welcome you. They are responsible for the upkeep of the 6-hectare La Brûlade sensitive natural area, including the 1.5-hectare school vegetable garden.
During this open afternoon, you will be able to learn how to use different planting techniques for your strawberries, lettuce, potatoes and other vegetables and fruit, and find out how the 174-tree orchard and vegetable garden work, not forgetting the presence of chickens, roosters and frogs.
The role of the educational garden is to welcome schoolchildren and produce vegetables and fruit to supply canteens from the ground to the plate (partnership with the school service for the preparation and promotion of the produce).
