Shoot a film on film stock, develop it, and then screen it for an audience: DODESKAVAN lets you be a filmmaker for a few hours and turns the Val Pré Vert kiosk into a mini collective film studio.

Here, cinema smells of film stock, hands covered in developer, and ideas tossed back and forth among a group. What’s on the agenda? Over three days, participants work in groups to create a short film—from shooting to editing—using traditional techniques and a healthy dose of experimentation. From writing the script to shooting, developing the film, and screening it: we’re fully immersed in the cinema of yesteryear. Then comes the closing night on Thursday, August 6. The young filmmakers will present and screen the film they created during the workshop, followed by a family-friendly feature-length film shown outdoors.
