Description
ELEPHANZ is a French band formed in Nantes in 2008 by Maxime and Jonathan Verleysen, two brothers who grew up listening to the music of the ’60s and who love folk songwriting, pop music, and the hits that have shaped music history.
The duo’s songs are little musical gems with powerful melodies. The two brothers’ voices harmonize, echo one another, or clash in a sophisticated and masterful synth-pop performance. Their track “Maryland” has been certified platinum with over 30 million streams. Fifteen years after their debut album “Time for a Change,” and building on the experience of two subsequent albums (“Elephanz” in 2017 and “Rien de personnel” in 2023), ELEPHANZ returns today with a fourth album that evokes first loves—the kind you sing about from the heart, hands clenched around a guitar. Through ten songs, this new album tells the story of a return to oneself—like coming home after years of traveling the world, only to realize that everything you needed to know about yourself was already there from the very beginning.
