Description
Isabelle Mansuy—FreEza Photography—presents, near the Casa dell’Arte,
“EssentiELLES,” a photography exhibition dedicated to female musicians.
“EssentiELLES” presents a series of candid photographs, taken live at concerts, of female musicians who populate the artist’s life and imagination. On stage, the light makes no distinctions. It illuminates those who play, who create, who inhabit the moment. And yet… Within the music scene, women musicians still remain in the shadows. Through this exhibition, Isabelle Mansuy does not seek to prove that they exist, but to give them the space they already occupy.
“EssentiELLES” invites us to see things differently: by listening to the images. Surrounded by these female musicians performing together, the attentive visitor resonates with them… Each photograph in this series, captured spontaneously during a concert, makes a powerful impression through the presence of these artists. They come from diverse backgrounds and different eras. Their voices, their gestures, and their instruments open up unique worlds, each filled with nuances, rhythms, and messages that are uniquely their own.
