Description
Aliénor de Cellès is a French painter, illustrator and art director with a degree in semiology and visual arts.
With over 20 years' experience at the helm of a Parisian fashion house, she has developed a precise eye for form, imbued with the cultural world of couture.
"I like to tell stories in my paintings, with an element of the unusual or enigmatic that leaves the viewer free to create their own myth. Like a fragment of a scene, with a before and after open to interpretation. This interaction feeds my work and my ideas. I try to maintain a poetic vision of the world, imaginary and timeless. I'm an avid walker. Wandering has become a vital habit. My eye stops on a textile, a face, a posture, a detail, and that's the beginning..."
Her work, combining symbolism and poetry, takes the form of gouaches and oil paintings, offering portraits and scenes of life.
