On January 20, 2025, Trump took up this slogan launched in 2008 to promote oil and gas development for his inaugural speech and announced the withdrawal of the United States from the Paris climate agreement.
Disenchanted, ironic and committed, Frédéric Glon takes a lucid yet tender look at our world, where human beings oscillate between creation and destruction. A sculptor for American and French period films, his technical virtuosity is constantly evolving. As an accessory designer for advertisers, he is familiar with the mechanisms of merchandising that encourage overproduction and overconsumption. His personal work questions this false reality, and in this exhibition we enter the world of his drawings and engravings, brimming with caustic humor, false advertisements devoid of the emotions aroused by the colors and symbols that seduce consumers. An artist with a passion for history, we also present his recently completed graphic novel "Le Politicien" (The Politician), which takes us into a world where the interplay between documented history and imaginary fantasy enables us to tackle important subjects with an apparent lightness of touch.
