The exhibition “Park Chan-wook: A Quiet Morning,” curated by Valérie Duponchelle, opens on July 6!

“Park Chan-wook the photographer is the contemplative side of this hyperactive man, who uses his moments of calm and freedom to take photographs without a specific purpose—capturing whatever catches his highly trained eye, whatever charms, surprises, or amuses him.” Valérie Duponchelle During the opening week of the Rencontres, several highlights with the artist: July 9 - Guided tour with the artist as part of the Rencontres d’Arles from 6:00 PM to 6:30 PM. - Park Chan-wook at the Théâtre Antique as part of the Nuits des Rencontres d’Arles from 9:45 PM to midnight. July 10 - Film screening in the presence of Park Chan-wook, in collaboration with the Cinéma du Méjan at 4:00 PM. ...and guided tours specially designed by our outreach team!
