Description

Nice invites you to celebrate Sant Bertoumiéu, the festival that showcases our local region! Come discover—or rediscover—the traditional crafts of yesteryear and the flavors of the hinterland.
Originally, the Sant Bertoumiéu was a large fair where residents would meet producers and artisans from the Moyen-Pays and Haut-Pays regions. Historically, this festive day was held in honor of Saint Bartholomew, the patron saint of butchers, tanners, and bookbinders. Today, the City carries on the tradition by organizing a festive day that celebrates local products, local producers and artisans, Nice’s traditional skills, traditions, and music—and, above all, the close bond between Nice and its hinterland. Program 10:00 a.m.: Opening ceremony attended by officials and doors open to the public: Tour of the booths accompanied by fife and drum music Activities: - Workshops - Educational farm - Pony rides - Farmers’ stands - Bookstores featuring authors - Storyteller - Tour of the Museum of Traditional Crafts in Tourrette-Levens - Balèti Highlights: 5:00 PM: A musician-storyteller under the trees presents “Accords of Land and Sea”—Compagnie Pantaï by Eric Frèrejacques 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM: Balèti with the Mar e Mountagnos association
