Every year for over 30 years, the Peplum Film Festival has been inviting children and adults alike to rediscover Antiquity in the prestigious setting of the Théâtre Antique d'Arles, on the big screen, with films from the Peplum genre.
The Peplum Film Festival promises another week of legendary adventures led by valiant heroes! From films meticulously chosen by the festival's selection committee, to meetings with renowned specialists, not forgetting the events that have become institutions, there will be something for all tastes and all ages.
Apéro-rencontres - Every day at 6.30pm (free)
An informal get-together with specialists over a drink. Talk with university professors, archaeologists, heritage curators and re-enactors on themes related to the film of the day.
Ciné-club - Every day at 7.30pm
A great way to get started before each screening! Come and discover anecdotes and filming secrets about the evening's film with our peplum and cinema specialists.
Les Préludes - Every evening at 8:45pm
Just before the film, discover new activities. A moment out of time, with fun activities to kick off the evening: gladiator fights, theater, storytelling, concerts and other multidisciplinary encounters...
Giant screen projections - Every evening at 8:45pm
The most eagerly-awaited part of the evening, peplum film projections light up the big screen. The Peplum Film Festival draws on the genre's greatest classics, from the oldest masterpieces to the most recent blockbusters.
L'espace gourmand - Every day from 6.30pm to 11pm
Artisanal beers, cervoise, lemonade, sweet and savory delights made by local artisans await you. A convivial place where you can chat with our specialists or simply enjoy a refreshing gourmet break in a magical historic setting.
