Description
FULLY BOOKED - Theatre walk in the hills: Lettres de mon moulin (Letters from my mill) - Presented by the Cie ‘Dans la cours des grands’ (In the company of grown-ups)
The story:
In the golden light of a Provençal twilight, at the foot of an old mill, Alphonse Daudet, pen in hand and ear to the wind, listens to the locals whispering forgotten stories to him.
All around him, characters emerge:
Monsieur Seguin's valiant little goat flees under the moonlight in search of freedom. The parish priest of Cucugnan dreams of his lost flock and sermons that climb to the sky like candles. The sub-prefect, out in the fields, loses himself in nature like a comma in a poem, the old people die quietly but hope for a visit from their grandson, and then Cornille, who sings the praises of the windmills, and then the white brothers, and then and then...
In this poetic and tender fresco, each scene is a letter, each letter an encounter: between the author, his characters, eternal Provence and a windmill that bears witness to it all.
A vibrant tribute to the gentleness of nature, the light irony of human beings and the magic of small things.
