Description

Hailing from Marseille, a vibrant city in France, Gaïa'Z Onda is an exceptional batucada group, comprising some twenty percussion virtuosos who have been energising the music scene for over ten years.
These rhythm enthusiasts don’t just play drums; they blend different musical worlds: from samba reggae to maracatu and cumbia, via afrobeat, drum & bass, funk and rock, their grooves and movements transcend musical boundaries. Many of Gaïa'Z Onda’s talented musicians cut their teeth in bands such as Badauê and Mulêketú, and have remained united through deep friendship and a shared passion for musical exploration. What makes Gaïa'Z Onda special? A unique style: their sound blends Brazilian rhythms, influences from around the world and original choreography, creating an unbridled ethno-urban atmosphere! So, get ready to move to the beat with a band that excels at creating rhythm and good vibes! Sunday 24 May during the Bauduen market from 11am.
