Description
Discover the heritage of the "châteaux" between Argentière and La Pascalette, and the people who commissioned and designed these remarkable buildings.
To mark European Heritage Days, set off to explore a remarkable and varied heritage of ‘châteaux’ in the neighbourhoods of Les Bormettes, L’Argentière and La Pascalette. Let’s discover the history that links them, taking us, amongst other things, to meet the Carthusians of La Verne de Collobrières, Louis Philippe’s official painter, Horace Vernet, the Marseille industrialist Victor Roux, and the Allar brothers – architect and sculptor of Toulon’s great monuments.
The highlight: A tour to meet the men who shaped the history of La Londe, with superb views!
