To mark the 50th anniversary of Henri Bosco’s death, the media library is highlighting this writer’s work through an exhibition organized in collaboration with his heirs: “Henri Bosco: An Unblemished Genius.”
To mark the 50th anniversary of Henri Bosco’s death, the media library wanted to highlight this writer’s work through an exhibition organized in collaboration with his heirs: Henri Bosco: An Untouched Genius.
Manuscripts, correspondence, working notes, and photographs will allow visitors to discover or revisit a rich body of work, brimming with mystery, blazing sunshine, and wind.
Bosco’s gaze toward the Rhône and the Camargue is the guiding theme of this exhibition. It will highlight the river, the plants, and the animals of the riverbanks and ponds, as well as his friendships and close relationships, particularly with Louis Brauquier and Marie Mauron…
To engage with Bosco today is to take the time—almost to embrace the detour—of endless journeys, to immerse oneself in the slow pace of prolonged discoveries, among orchards, hidden gardens, adventurous rivers and streams; it means encountering lost yet courageous children and solitary souls ready to embark on wild adventures.
– Friday, June 12, 6:00 p.m.: opening ceremony and lecture by Jean-Yves Casanova on *Malicroix*, the Rhône, and the Camargue
– Saturday, September 5, 6:00 p.m.: closing ceremony and reading of texts by Henri Bosco by actor Jacques Bonnaffé.
