Description
An initiative of pianist Herbie Hancock, UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador, International Jazz Day celebrates jazz as a universal language of freedom, dialogue and peace in over 190 countries around the world.
In this prestigious setting, Nice is fully involved in this global dynamic with an exceptional concert on Thursday, April 30, 2026 at the Théâtre Lino Ventura. The evening brings together major figures from the international and French jazz scenes, in a spirit of encounter, improvisation and crossbreeding.
A unique concert
Designed especially for International Jazz Day, this concert will be unique and ephemeral. The musicians gathered on stage will play their own compositions in new formations, alongside artists with whom they have not necessarily collaborated before, making this evening a spontaneous and unique moment of creation. The event takes place in partnership with TSF Jazz, who will be broadcasting live from the Théâtre Lino Ventura.
