The City of Barbentane invites you to join us on Saturday, September 19, and Sunday, September 20, for a rich program celebrating Provençal traditions and language, as part of Heritage Days.
Saturday, September 19
9:30 a.m.: Guided tour of Barbentane in Provençal led by Céline MARTEAU IMBERT of Les Pichots Galapians—meets in front of the post office.
10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.: Tour of the castle gardens and park—entrance via Rue du Château.
11:00 a.m.: On the forecourt of the Château de Barbentane, a presentation of traditional costumes by “La Payse de France,” featuring folk groups from the French Federation of Popular Arts and Traditions—entrance via Rue du Château:

2:30 p.m.: Folk performance at the Château’s Théâtre de Verdure – north entrance (old Route de Boulbon).
4:30 p.m.: Historical tour of the church led by Guy Fluchère.
Sunday, September 20
9:30 a.m.: Tour of Barbentane in Provençal led by Céline MARTEAU IMBERT of Les Pichots Galapians – Departure in front of the post office
10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.: Tour of the castle gardens and park – entrance via Rue du Château – north entrance (former Route de Boulbon)
10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.: Haymaking demonstrations in the château’s park by Thomas Baud’s “Crinières d’Or” horse teams
12:00 PM: Camargue-style meal (Niçoise salad, bull stew, and dessert) in the Baron de Chabert gardens – 21 euros, wine included; tickets on sale at City Hall (starting September 7).
