The Camargue Museum and the Manade du Juge have joined forces to offer you an immersive experience exploring the world of the gardians.
The tour begins at the Camargue Museum with a presentation on the region, its history, and its landscapes shaped by water, salt, and livestock farming. This introduction provides a deeper understanding of the close ties that bind people, animals, and nature in the Camargue.
Participants then drive their own vehicles to the Manade du Juge. There, they watch as the gardian prepares for the cattle roundup and then discover the daily work of the horses and bulls at the heart of the ranch. This is a special opportunity to learn from the gardians’ expertise and discuss this iconic Camargue tradition.
The tour concludes with a direct sale of farm products.
