La Londe les Maures celebrates its liberation on 17 August with a number of events in the town centre and at the Port Miramar.

The 82nd anniversary of the Liberation of La Londe will be commemorated in a fitting manner on Monday 17 August. Commemorative ceremonies will take place in front of the War Memorial, on the forecourt of the Town Hall, at 6.00 pm, followed by a parade of Second World War vehicles from Provence 44, accompanied by emergency vehicles from the CCFF. A drinks reception and a concert will take place on the forecourt of the Town Hall from 7.15 pm. A grand fireworks display will take place at 10.00 pm, followed by the Liberation Ball from 10.30 pm on Place Georges-Gras at Port Miramar.
