This summer, Le Makeda takes over one of the city's most emblematic venues.
As part of its summer "hors les murs" program, the Marseilles venue will be at La Citadelle for three exceptional evenings in July, on Friday July 3, Thursday July 16 and Thursday July 30.
For the occasion, the Makeda will deploy what makes its DNA: a bold, eclectic and open programming on the current music scene, faithful to its values of inclusion, diversity and artistic curiosity. Conceived as moments of encounter and sharing, these evenings will bring together artists, audiences and the venue in a lively, unifying atmosphere.
Between Marseille's heritage, spectacular panorama and the energy of live performances, these events promise three vibrant summer nights, when the Citadelle will be transformed into a space of musical and collective celebration.

July 3:
An evening of world music and sunny rhythms, featuring Flavia Coelho Soundsystem, a veritable celebration of Brazilian reggae, cumbia and electro influences, Issa Naïmo and his sunny Afro-RnB universe, and DJ Ghali & Marcelo, figures on Marseille's tropical scene, for a musical voyage of Latin, Afro and electropical sounds. An evening conceived as a festive and free parenthesis to celebrate summer on top of Marseille.
For July 16:
In this monumental setting overlooking Marseille, get ready for a night where electro-hip-hop, bass music and devastating beats will resonate beneath the ramparts with Dope Saint Jude, an electro-hip-hop icon from Cape Town with a powerful, committed universe, DJ Pone, French hip-hop legend and founding member of Birdy Nam Nam, and Zoon Kara, a duo mixing soul and electro in a vibrant, organic live performance. An evening suspended between concert, club and collective communion, true to the festive, benevolent and committed spirit of Makeda.
For July 30:
Electronic music, SWANA influences, oriental rhythms and organic percussion with Nooriyah, a major figure on the international electronic scene blending Arabic sounds, bass music and global club culture, and Kasbah, between organic house, hypnotic techno and North African inspirations. A final evening at La Citadelle, designed as a suspended interlude between music, horizon and collective energy, to celebrate Marseille's summer in style.
