BIRTH(S) OF PHOTOGRAPHY / CHASSOL Composer, pianist and sound experimenter Chassol presents an original creation that plunges the audience into the heart of the first ages of photography. Through an immersive journey blending music, sound and images, he reinvents our view of 19th-century photography, exploring the major stages of this visual revolution: the first photographic processes, the art of portraiture, explorations of the world, nascent modernity, the capture of movement and the beginnings of cinema. Also on the program: Steichen's Nature: a family tree Ariana Stahmer, great-granddaughter of Edward Steichen, tells an intimate story about the famous photographer, revealing the deep links between his work, his passion for gardens and the women who shaped his life.
