Description

This unique event will surprise you with its wealth of ceramic artistic expressions.
The fourth edition of the Arles Ceramics Market, held in conjunction with the "Heritage in Danger" Heritage Days, has become a not-to-be-missed event. Mas Baudran, the oldest farmhouse in Arles, opens the ball with a lecture at the Espace Van Gogh on Saturday 19th at 6pm. The theme, "heritage in danger", is approached through the prism of clay mining and the problems it can cause, while questioning the local environment. The following day, 32 professional ceramists will be on hand with their creations in the Place Wilson. It was an arduous choice from among the one hundred and seventy applications received. But the Terres d'Arles association was keen to showcase exceptional and eclectic ceramics to delight the hearts of visitors, whether neophytes or amateurs. Throughout September, you'll be able to discover an exhibition of creations fashioned from Mas Baudran clay by the association's ceramists.
