Description
Exhibition: “Moya’s Circus”
July 18–September 13
Cultural Center – Free admission
Open Tuesday through Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
From July 18 to September 13, artist Patrick Moya will present a unique exhibition in Tourrette-Levens!
Drawing inspiration from the world of the circus and engaging in a dialogue with Dr. Alain Frère’s collection, Moya reinterprets, in his own style, paintings, posters, and costumes from this very special world…
As a child, Moya was captivated by the circus parades passing through his hometown of Troyes. This shows that the artist has long been influenced by circus imagery—just as, before him, Calder, Chagall, Matisse, and Léger—dreaming of a life as a traveling artist who would carry his entire body of work from city to city to exhibit it in a big top to the applause of an enthralled audience.
Free puppet shows every Sunday at 4 p.m.:
