The City of Ollioules invites you to participate in the commemoration of the Liberation of Ollioules, in remembrance of the events of August 23, 1944, on Sunday, August 23, 2026.
Program for Ollioules Liberation Day:
• 5:45 p.m.: Gathering at the Carrefour du 23 août 1944.
• 6:00 p.m.: Start of the ceremony.
• Deputy Mayor Thuilier, serving as master of ceremonies, outlines the program.
• Remarks by the Mayor.
• Reading of a text
• Wreath laying.
• Minute of silence.
• Chorus of “La Marseillaise”
• 6:25 p.m.: Line up for the parade.
• Parade order:
• PMO vehicle,
• Vintage vehicle with the parade sound system mounted on the back (playing “La Galette” and other military marches).
• Flag bearers.
• Officials.
• 6:50 p.m.: Arrival at Place Jean-Jaurès.
• Raising of the flags.
• Speech by the Mayor.
• Laying of wreaths.
• Tribute to the fallen.
• Minute of silence.
• “La Marseillaise”
• Salute to the flag bearers
• Release of 80 doves
• The flag bearers leave their positions
• Refreshments served at the Espace Bremond.
• 9:00 p.m.: Liberation Ball at Place Jean Jaurès featuring the Christian Yann Orchestra, presented by the Ollioules Festival Committee.
