Poetry is everywhere humans resist, even in the darkest hours. In prisons and on battlefields, in pain and illness, this poetic resistance is that of life itself, which refuses to give up. As the climate’s defenses crumble and war resurfaces in the heart of Europe, we need poetry now more than ever. For every line of verse is a life-giving force. For every poet helps us mobilize the strength that enables us to reject and challenge what once seemed inevitable.
Through poems and prose excerpts from his various works, Cyril Dion—writer, filmmaker, environmental activist, and co-director of the film *Demain*—presents a poetic experience accompanied by the music of Sébastien Hoog, guitarist, composer, and performer.
