The Carpentras Tourist Office welcomes the little world of santons. From the casting, sculpting, and modelling to painting on the decoration... each santonnier craftsman of the region is committed to producing their very own collection. Many work maintaining the traditional techniques of the Provencal santon, while others reveal a more personal expression through the creation of more contemporary shapes, colours and processes. However, all remain faithful to the production of the essential characters in a Provencal crib, which the visitor can discver as the wander round the stands.
