Description

Da-Min Kim, Dali Feng, Magali Demesse, and Xavier Chatillon invited cellist Raphaël Pidoux to join them.
Raphaël Pidoux, cello Da-Min Kim, violin Dali Feng, violin Magali Demesse, viola Xavier Chatillon, cello A visionary work from Schubert’s final year, the Quintet in C major is considered one of the pinnacles of chamber music. For Arthur Rubinstein, the sublime Adagio is “music of the angels.” The Marseille Opera Soloists Quartet strives to cover a wide repertoire while respecting each composer’s style. The musicians’ close connection to the world of opera leads them to “make everything that sings, sing.” Da-Min Kim, Dali Feng, Magali Demesse, and Xavier Chatillon have invited cellist Raphaël Pidoux to join them. A brilliant heir to the great French school of cello, he is the son of the late Roland, the father of Gabriel, and a member of the Trio Wanderer. PROGRAM HAYDN String Quartet Op. 76 No. 3 “Emperor” SCHUBERT Quintet in C major D 956
