A must-attend event that brings together the entire sports community of Istres and Entressen, "Faites du sport" brings together several thousand people of all ages—young and old—every year on the Charles de Gaulle Esplanade (Étang de l’Olivier) to discover and meet the people, clubs, and sports disciplines offered in Istres. The sports village will welcome Istres-based sports organizations, which will introduce families and the public to their activities and sports! Friday, September 11 9:00 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. and 1:45 p.m. to 4:10 p.m. – School Challenge Banks of the Étang de l’Olivier More than 600 children from 28 elementary school classes will participate in an obstacle course designed to introduce them to a variety of physical and sports activities. This event is organized in partnership with the National Education Inspectorate and the City of Istres Sports Department. Activities offered: Track and field, Creative expression, Pétanque, Tchoukball, Mini-golf, Table tennis, and Quizzes. ------------------- Saturday, September 12 & Sunday, September 13 10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. – Sports Village Banks of the Étang de l’Olivier Over 80 activities for the whole family to enjoy! • More than 60 sports clubs offering activities on land and water. • Thrilling attractions: bungee rugby, giant slide, mini pirate park, trampoline, bouncy castles, and a climbing wall. • Wellness booths, as well as booths from charitable, institutional, and cultural organizations. • Demonstrations in a dojo and on two stages. • Refreshment stand open all day. Be sure to bring a change of clothes for water activities. 10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. - Pass'Sport Banks of the Étang de l’Olivier Discover a variety of sports activities by completing a course of at least 8 challenges, including 4 offered by sports clubs. On-site registration. There are plenty of prizes to win, and a free T-shirt is given each day to the first 400 participants with a validated Pass'Sport. ------------------- Sunday, September 13 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (start at 9:30 a.m.) – Hike The hike starts at the Charles-de-Gaulle Esplanade and heads toward Chemin du Safre, Chemin de Quinsanne, Chemin de l’Estagel, and Chemin de Saint-Étienne, before returning to the Charles-de-Gaulle Esplanade.
