John Williams, the undisputed master of orchestration, revolutionized film music as early as the 1970s. As the go-to composer for Steven Spielberg and George Lucas, he has composed the scores for some of cinema’s greatest masterpieces: “E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial,” “Jaws,” “Indiana Jones”… His unforgettable melodic themes, recognizable from the very first notes, have restored the symphony orchestra to its rightful place in cinema. With 5 Oscars and 54 nominations to his credit, Williams remains a living legend whose work transcends generations.
Hans Zimmer, for his part, embodies modernity and boldness. A German-born composer who became a naturalized American citizen, he has revolutionized the conventions of film music by blending monumental orchestrations with electronic sounds. His collaborations with Christopher Nolan (“The Dark Knight,” “Inception,” “Interstellar”) and Ridley Scott (“Gladiator”) have left an indelible mark on the history of contemporary cinema. A two-time Oscar winner, Zimmer crafts immersive atmospheres that transform every scene into a truly breathtaking emotional experience.
