The feel-good novel prize

The local cinema, the Eden Cinéma, is hosting the “Le Prix du roman qui fait du bien” festival for three days. On the programme for the 2026 edition: Thursday 17 September at 6.30 pm Tribute to the photographer Michel Lacanaud, an iconic figure in Fontvieille Screening of his short films and photographs Friday 18 September at 7.00 pm Screening of *L’attachement* by Carine Tardieu. Adapted from *L’intimité* (Actes Sud), a novel by Alice Ferney. Discussion following the screening with co-screenwriter Raphaële Moussafir. Saturday 19 September 11.30 am — From the page to the stage, with Didier Flamand. Actor, director and filmmaker Didier Flamand will read a few pages from one of his favourite authors. 3.00 pm — Meet the author: Stefania Rousselle. Followed by a book signing. 4.00 pm — Illustrated concert: ‘Night Train in the Milky Way’. Adrien Demont (illustrations) and Takuma Shindo (music) bring the picture book, based on Kenji Miyazawa’s novel (Morgen, 2026), to life on stage. 5.30 pm: Presentation of the 2026 ‘Feel-Good Novel’ Award Announcement of the winner, followed by a book signing session with the author and the writer-judges. All events are free to attend, subject to availability.
