To mark Resilience Day, explore the Avance and Durance valleys on themed walks dedicated to understanding natural hazards. Free, registration required. Ages 10 and over.

To mark Resilience Day, the Communauté de Communes Serre-Ponçon Val d'Avance, in partnership with guide Simon Cambrézy ( Autre Versant ), invites you to a themed walk focusing on natural hazards in the mountains. As you follow the trail, he will guide you with passion and education to decipher the landscape and better understand the forces that shape it: geology, hydrology, human development... You will learn to read the mountain, retrace its history and discover how people have adapted to it, in a sometimes unpredictable environment. Day hike among the coiffed damselflies. Picnic break. Registration required. Gain in altitude: 456 D+ Distance: 6km In a loop Estimated walking time: 3? hours Length of outing: approximately 5 hours Difficulty: intermediate Equipment required: Hiking shoes or trainers Rucksack Picnic Water (1L to 1.5L per person) Sunglasses Sun cream Hat/cap A pair of walking sticks is recommended Grain bar or snack Personal medication (diabetes, asthma, allergies....) Conditions Children aged 10 and over. Meet at 9am at the meeting point. Think about car-pooling! Lunch is not included in this half-day programme. The guide reserves the right to modify or cancel the hike depending on the weather, terrain or participants.
