Description
On September 5 and 6, 2026, the second edition of “Pointus à Port-Cros” will take place.
For one weekend, the island will be transformed into a living, open-air museum, celebrating the maritime heritage of our coastline.
For one weekend, the island of Port-Cros celebrates these traditional boats known as “pointus.”
However, “Les Pointus à Port-Cros” is not just a simple boating gathering—it’s a true journey back in time.
The event offers a complete immersion in the atmosphere of days gone by. Crews in period costumes, carefully maintained traditional boats, and an entire island that comes alive to revive its maritime history.
Visitors arriving by shuttle or in their own boats are invited, if they wish, to wear a period-style accessory (sailor T-shirt, striped shirt, sailor cap, etc.) or a full period outfit!!!
An elegance contest, maneuvering challenges, the chance for the luckiest visitors to take a free tour around the islet of Bagaud thanks to volunteer “Pointu” boat owners, concerts, and dining in period attire:
A cheerful and friendly program that you can explore in detail at www.pointus-portcros.fr
Bring your “pointu”—Port-Cros will honor you!
