Organised by the guilds of fishermen, Saint Peter's Day is an annual celebration of the patron saint of fishermen.
The Fêtes de la Mer is a unique opportunity to discover the maritime traditions of Cassis.

The festivities begin on Friday, June 27 at 7pm, with the "apéritif des pêcheurs", offered to the public by the fishermen of the Prud'homie de Cassis, on Place Mirabeau.

Then comes the highlight of the weekend, on Sunday 29th, with the celebration of Saint Peter, the patron saint of fishermen.

After mass, celebrated at 10 a.m. in the church of Saint Michel de Cassis, the procession strolls through the village and harbor, accompanied by traditional dances, before boarding the boats at around 11:30 a.m., bound for Cassis Bay. This is the start of the ceremony at sea, during which sailors ask their patron saint for fruitful fishing and protection for their boats and crews against bad weather.

And to round off this beautiful morning, the ACBT invites you to a sardinade on the Promenade A. Briand promenade. (Price: €10)
