Description

The "Fabriquer le théâtre" theater festival returns for a second edition at Villa Magdala. It opens with Sylvie Remy and Hugo Thery's creation: "Pièce manquante".
Missing part She - the actress - is on stage. A familiar space, that of her creativity. For her latest play, she dreams of performing without rehearsal, "as if it were the first time". He - Annexe - remains backstage. For him, "the stage is a sacred space, reserved for others", as he likes to remind her. A handyman for his shows, he keeps a watchful eye in the shadows. But this time, something's not quite right. As if something... or someone... was missing. Sylvie Remy Originally from a village in the Berry region of France, Sylvie Remy discovered theater at an early age through local cultural life. At Bourges high school, she took her first classes and developed a real passion for text, the stage and collective work. In 1996, she began intensive training in directing, Actors Studio, clowning, improvisation and commedia dell'arte, before opening her first workshop in Hyères. In 1999, she founded Les p'tits bonhommes, a place dedicated to learning and creation for all ages, which welcomed up to 130 students a year for 15 years. In 2014, she turned to psychology and dramatherapy, and in 2019 founded Les Ateliers Dramathéâtre in Hyères. At the same time, she continues her work as an author, director and actress, notably with Alexis Michalik's Le Porteur d'histoire. In 2025, she co-created J'en ai rêvé at the Villa Magdala. In June 2026, she prepares the second edition of the Magdala theater festival with Pièce manquante, written with Hugo Théry, a former student of Les P'tits bonhommes. Hugo Thery Actor, dancer and director, Hugo Thery discovered theater in Hyères. He then trained at the Cours Florent, the Sorbonne and the Conservatoire d'art dramatique de Paris. In 2025, he starred in Peer Gynt, directed by Olivier Py at the Théâtre du Châtelet. He also collaborated with Clément Hervieu-Léger, director of the Comédie-Française, on Nous, les héros by Jean-Luc Lagarce.
