Description
The Théâtre Poquelin in Fabrégas presents ‘Feu la mère de Madame’, a comedy by Georges Feydeau.
‘The Late Mother of Madame’ – a lively and biting domestic comedy where laughter lays couples bare! Forget lovers in the cupboard and doors slamming endlessly. Here, Feydeau shifts gears and plunges us into the (very) turbulent intimacy of a couple in the throes of a nervous breakdown. The play rests on the explosive duo of Lucien and Yvonne. It is the original ‘domestic row’, cruelly funny and terribly modern. Black humour at its peak: Feydeau plays with death with jubilant irreverence. We laugh at what we should be crying over, and it is liberating.
