A tour of Gerhard Richter’s exhibition “Overpainted Photographs” at LUMA Arles, followed by a workshop inviting participants to experiment with photography and painting using their own images.

After a tour of Gerhard Richter’s exhibition “Overpainted Photographs,” participants will be invited to experiment with one of the artist’s signature approaches. Using their own photographs as a starting point, they will apply paint to transform the image, play with what is revealed or concealed, and create original compositions where photography and the act of painting converge. This event is part of the European Heritage Days.
