The Museon Arlaten kicks off “La Semaine des Suds” with Windborne, an internationally renowned American vocal quartet, for a powerful a cappella concert blending tradition, harmonies, and protest songs.

During Les Suds Festival week in Arles, the Museon Arlaten will host Windborne, an American vocal quartet renowned for the richness of its a cappella harmonies. Composed of Lauren Breunig, Jeremy Carter-Gordon, Lynn Rowan, and Will Rowan, the ensemble draws on vocal traditions from around the world to perform a repertoire blending folk songs, traditional melodies, and protest songs. Without instrumental accompaniment, the four artists deliver a performance of great intensity, in which their voices tell stories of social struggles, civil rights, and the communities that gave rise to them. Combining emotion, power, and commitment, this concert invites you to discover the universal power of collective singing in the unique setting of the Museon Arlaten.
